How to Make Short Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Soften your butter which has been warmed to room temperature.
  2. Combine flour and sugar into your softened butter and mix until well combined. Place batter into a greased 13x9" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. If your oven cooks unevenly you might want to rotate the pan a couple of times.
  3. The short bread is done when lightly brown. While the short bread is cooling cut with a knife into small squares.
