Quick and easy version of Scottish Short Bread. Takes only three ingredients to make.

self rising flour
1 1/2 c
1 lb
butter, room temperature

How to Make Short Bread


  • 1Soften your butter which has been warmed to room temperature.
  • 2Combine flour and sugar into your softened butter and mix until well combined. Place batter into a greased 13x9" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes to an hour. If your oven cooks unevenly you might want to rotate the pan a couple of times.
  • 3The short bread is done when lightly brown. While the short bread is cooling cut with a knife into small squares.
