Shelley's Chocolate Chip Cookies
I always double the recipe (not the salt and use your judgement on the chocolate chips ;)

1/4 cbutter (do not substitute)
1/2 cwhite sugar
1/4 cbrown sugar, firmly packed
1 tspvanilla extract
1 call purpose flour
1/2 tspbaking soda
1 pkgsemi-sweet chocolate chips (small pkg)
How to Make Shelley's Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Pre-heat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, cream butter, egg, sugars and vanilla with a spoon until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, sift flour, soda and salt together then gradually stir dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
- Add chocolate chips. Blend all ingredients together with a spoon.
- Drop a spoonful of mix onto ungreased non-stick cookie sheet. Bake at 350F for 10-12 mins. Makes 20-24 cookies, more if you drop smaller batches.
