Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup ground almonds
- 1 - batch icing
- 1 - container green decorating sugar
- 2 cups flour
How To Make shamrock cookies, mom's

Step 1Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add flour and almonds, mix well. Chill 1 hour. Roll small portions at a time until thin, cut with shamrock cookie cutter. Bake at 400 degrees 10 min. Cool, frost with icing and dip in sugar.

Step 2For the icing, blend 1 c powdered sugar with 1/8 teaspoon peppermint flavoring or oil of cinnamon, 2 T water and a drop of green food coloring.
