1 cbutter

1/2 csugar

1/2 tspvanilla

1 cground almonds

1batch icing

1container green decorating sugar

2 cflour
How To Make shamrock cookies, mom's

1Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add flour and almonds, mix well. Chill 1 hour. Roll small portions at a time until thin, cut with shamrock cookie cutter. Bake at 400 degrees 10 min. Cool, frost with icing and dip in sugar.

2For the icing, blend 1 c powdered sugar with 1/8 teaspoon peppermint flavoring or oil of cinnamon, 2 T water and a drop of green food coloring.
