Ingredients

1 cup shortening(half butter or margarine)
1 cup sifted,confectioner's sugar
1 - egg
1-2 teaspoon vanilla extract or peppermint
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons green food coloring
green decorative sprinkles

How To Make shamrock cookies

Step 1

heat oven 375' mix shortening,sugar,egg,flavoring

Step 2

measure flour,salt,food coloring mix
Step 3

to shape make 3 balls(1/4 tsp.) and a stem press with finger flatten complete 1 at a time to prevent dry and cracking bake 9 mins. makes 9 dozen don't forget to sprinkle with decorative sprinkles!
