My mom made these all the time when I was growing up. It is still one of my favorite cookie recipes.

  • 2 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 c
    sugar and cinnamon (mixed)
  • 4 tsp
    almond extract
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2/3 tsp
  • ·
    sesame seeds
  • ·
    raspberry preserves

How to Make Sesame Cookies with Raspberry Preserves


  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Blend in extracts.
  3. Add flour and salt, mix well.
  4. Shape into small balls, roll in sesame seeds.
  5. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Indent centers, fill with preserves.
  6. Bake @ 400 F for 10-12 minutes (cookies will stay light color).
