These are my boyfriend's favorite cookies, and I always make sure I have a batch ready for him every time we see each other. They're very moist and chewy, so make sure you have wax paper on the cookie sheets so they don't fall through the cracks!! You can also substitute raisins for the chocolate chips to make super yummy oatmeal raisin cookies (my co-workers' favorite!!)

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup shortening, butter flavor
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla (or a little more for some extra flavor)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 - eggs
  • 3 cups quick oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 package 16 oz chocolate chips

How To Make scott's favorite oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

  • Step 1
    Cream Butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Mix in Eggs,vanilla,baking powder,sal,baking soda and cinnamon. Mix in oats then flour then add chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonful on to cookie sheet and bake about 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
