2-1 /2 doz - 3 doz (depending on the thickness of the cookie)
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 5 tablespoons farina
- 5/2 cups flour
How To Make scottish shortbread

Step 1Mix first two ingredients

Step 2Add Farina and gradually add flour

Step 3Knead dough till firm and roll into a ball and cut ball into four equal parts and roll each into logs.

Step 4Slice each log into 8 rounds

Step 5Place on buttered cookie sheet 2" apart and pierce on top of cookie with fork a couple of times

Step 6Preheat oven 250 degrees - 300 degrees and bake until slightly colored, est. 30 minutes.

Step 7Cool on a wire rack and sprinkle with sugar during cooling period
