Ingredients
-
1/2 lbbutter, softened
-
1/2 csugar
-
5 Tbspfarina
-
5/2 cflour
How to Make Scottish Shortbread
- Mix first two ingredients
- Add Farina and gradually add flour
- Knead dough till firm and roll into a ball and cut ball into four equal parts and roll each into logs.
- Slice each log into 8 rounds
- Place on buttered cookie sheet 2" apart and pierce on top of cookie with fork a couple of times
- Preheat oven 250 degrees - 300 degrees and bake until slightly colored, est. 30 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack and sprinkle with sugar during cooling period
