This recipe for delicious shortbread is unbelievably easy. I searched the internet and found this on another recipe site, but it's the best shortbread I have ever tasted. I hope you all enjoy it as much as my family and I do.

Ingredients
- 1 pound unsalted butter (4 sticks)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 pinch salt
How To Make scottish shortbread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 f

Step 2Cream butter and sugar with a mixer.

Step 3Add flour and salt and mix with a wooden spoon. Use hands to make sure all the ingredients are incorporated.

Step 4Press dough into an ungreased 10x15 inch jelly roll pan. Prick all over with a fork, making sure the fork hits the pan and the pricks are close together. Sprinkle liberally with sugar.

Step 5Bake for 10 minutes at 350 f. Reduce heat to 300 f, and bake for approximately 40 minutes more.

Step 6Cool in pan for 5 minutes, then cut into finger sized bars. Allow to cool completely before removing.
