These are beautiful holiday cookies and so delicious! These are my children's favorite (mine, too)!

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour, sifted
3/4 cup each, red and green candied cherries
1/2 cup pecans, in pieces
3/4 cup coconut, flaked

How To Make santa's whiskers cookies

Step 1

Cream together butter and sugar; blend in milk and vanilla extract.

Step 2

Stir in flour, cherries and pecans.
Step 3

Form into 2 "logs" - each about 2" in diameter and 8" long. Roll in coconut. Wrap in wax paper and chill several hours or overnight. (Can be frozen at this point, too).
Step 4

Slice chilled cookie dough 1/4" thick; place on ungreased or parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 12 minutes or until edges are golden.
