Ingredients

SANTA'S FAVORITE COOKIE MIX - IN A JAR
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup red and green mini m & m's
1 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS TO COMPLETE THESE COOKIES
3/4 cup (1 & 1/2 sticks) butter
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make santa's favorite cookie mix (makes 1 qt. jar)

Step 1

Combine: Flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl; mix well. Pour: 3/4 cup flour mixture into 1-quart wide-mouth jar with tight fitting lid; pack down well. Add: 1/2 cup brown sugar to jar; pack down well. Add: Remaining flour mixture, remaining brown sugar, M&M's, chocolate chips and walnuts; pack down lightly after each layer. Seal jar. Cover top of jar with fabric. Attach gift tag with ribbon.

1 Jar Santa's Favorite Cookie Mix 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks)butter, softened 1 Lg. Egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla Preheat oven to 375degrees F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or leave ungreased. Pour contents of jar into large bowl; mix well. Beat butter in another large bowl with electric mixer until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients until well blended. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. (Do Not overbake.) Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheets; transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
