These are a nice crispy cookie with a soft peanut flavor that is not overwhelming.

Ingredients For salted peanut logs

  • 1/3 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/3 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 3 Tbsp
    packed brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • FROSTING:
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp
    milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    vanilla
  • 3/4 c
    chopped peanuts, garnish

How To Make salted peanut logs

    Preheat oven to 350*. In a medium mixing bowl, beat butter and peanut butter with an electric mixer on medium-high speed for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar, milk and vanilla; beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in flour

    Roll dough into 3" longs. Place logs 1" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake 10-12 minutes or until bottoms begin to brown. Transfer to racks and cool

    In a bowl, beat 2 tablespoons butter on medium-high speed for 30 seconds. Gradually beat in 1/4 cup sugar. Slowly beat in milk and vanilla. Gradually beat in 3/4 cup sugar

    Pipe or spread frosting on top of cookies. Top with peanuts.
