Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

2 1/4 c
cake flour
1 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp
baking soda
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
2 1/2 stick
unsalted butter softened
1 1/2 c
brown sugar
3/4 c
granulated sugar
eggs at room temperature
2 tsp
vanilla extract
24 oz
jumbo semi sweet chocolate chips
caramels (cut into 4 pieces)
6 oz
chopped walnuts (if desired)
coarse sea salt


1Sift together Cake flour, all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt
Use a mixer and cream butter, brown sugar and sugar together until fluffy
Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time
2Reduce speed to low and add dry ingredients and mix until just combined
Stir in chocolate chips, caramels and walnuts ( I put all in a big bowl and mix together before adding to the batter)
Press plastic wrap onto the dough in the bowl and refrigerate for an hour
3Pre heat oven to 350
Line a baking pan with parchment paper
Roll dough into golf ball size pieces
Press the top of the ball down just a little and sprinkle lightly with sea salt and bake for 10-15 minutes
