These cookies just melt in your mouth. They are a traditional Christmas Holiday favorite around my house.

1 c
soft butter
1/2 c
sifted confectioners sugar
1 tsp
vanilla
2 1/4 c
flour
1/4 tsp
salt
3/4 c
finely chopped nuts

How to Make Russian Teacakes

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix butter, sugar and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour by dip, level pour method or by sifting. Blend flour and salt, stir in. Mix in nuts. Chill
    Heat oven to 400o
  • 2Roll into 1" balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes. While still warm roll in confectioners sugar. Cool and roll again. Makes about 4 dozen 1" cookies
