How To Make russian tea cakes (cookies), joann's

• Step 1
  1 c softened butter 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 c sifted powdered sugar Mix together.
• Step 2
  Sift and stir in together: 2 1/4 c sifted flour 1/4 tsp salt
• Step 3
  Mix in 3/4 c finely chopped nuts.
• Step 4
  Roll up into big ball, chill dough a couple hours. Then... Roll into 1" balls, place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 400 degrees until set, but bot brown, about 10 minutes
• Step 5
  After completely cool, roll in powdered sugar.
