root beer float bars

These bars are quite fragrant and so delicious! The taste of the Root Beer really come through. I personally think the main ingredient for this recipe is the root beer extract (or) concentrate.

Ingredients For root beer float bars

  • ¾ cup
    unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • ¾ cup
    brown sugar
  • ¼ cup
    granulated sugar
  • 1
    (3.4 oz.) box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 Large
    eggs
  • 2
    teaspoons root beer extract (or) concentrate
  • 2-¼
    cups all-purpose flour
  • 1
    teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup
    white chocolate chips (i used nestle premier white morsels.)

How To Make root beer float bars

    Preheat the oven to 350° F.

    Line an 8”x 8” baking pan with parchment paper. Leaving an overhang on all four sides.

    In a large bowl cream together, the butter and sugars.

    Mix in the dry pudding mix.
  • 5
    Add the eggs, root beer extract, and mix until well combined.
  • 6
    Now add the flour and baking soda, mix until incorporated.

    Stir in the white chocolate chips.

    Press the cookie batter as evenly as possible into the prepared baking pan.

    Bake in oven for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle, come out clean.

    Cool for 20 minutes.

    Use the parchment overhang, lift the baked pan of bars out of the pan, and onto a wire rack to cool completely.

    Using a serrated knife, cut into 12 bars.

    Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to one week.
