My Nona made these every Christmas and now I make them with my 3 girls there the house favorites. hope you all like them as much as my family.

  • 1/2 c
  • 1 c
  • 1 bottle
    anise extract.... use more or less for your taste
  • 1
  • 2 c
  • 1/2 lb
    ricotta cheese
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 pinch

  • 1 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
  • ·
    candy sprinkles

How to Make ricotta cookies


  1. Mix flour baking soda, baking powder and salt together in seperate bowl. In a mixer cream butter, sugar, anise extract add egg beat well add ricotta. Slowly add dry mix till blened
  2. Drop mix by tsp on baking sheet
    cook for 12-14 min they should be a pale in color Do Not over cook. cool on a wire rack
  3. Frosting.......Mix together sugar and milk. It should be loose... brush the frosting on cooled cookies and add sprinkles. Enjoy
