these are really easy and good cookies.I used to make red and green ones at christmas but Kelloggs quit selling the red and green rice krispies.I take them on a lot of our Senior citizen trips at church and everyone loves them. Have a blesssed day.Pat McCurry

Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening(butter flavored crisco the best)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar(packed)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
- 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup coconut, flaked
- 4 cups rice krispies
How To Make rice flake crisps

Step 1cream sugars and shortening,then add eggs and vanilla.beat well.

Step 2sift dry ingredients and add to mixture and beat well.fold in coconut and rice krispies.shape into one inch balls or drop by teaspoon(I do this)

Step 3place on ungreased cookie sheets.bake 10 too 12 minutes at 375 degrees.makes 8 dozen. store in airtight containers. better after two or three days(They are good at first also. Enjoy!
