red velvet crinkle cookies

This recipe was on a Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake Mix. They looked good an so I made them an they are good. Very easy to make. It's not my recipe but thought I would post it thinkin people would't see it on the box. Hope you like them.

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch
  • 1 box duncan hines signature red velvet cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest, grated

How To Make red velvet crinkle cookies

  • Step 1
    PREHEAT oven to 375 degrees. Melt butter, set aside to cool. In small bowl place powdered sugar and corn starch. With a fork stir together to mix.
  • Step 2
    PLACE cake mix, cooled butter, eggs, and lemon zest in a large mixing bowl. Mix well by hand till a dough forms. Form dough into one inch balls and roll balls in powdered sugar mixture. Place on cool in greased cookie sheet two inches apart.
  • Step 3
    BAKE one sheet at a time in center of oven. Bake for 9-11 minutes. Cool for 1 minute and transfer to cooling rack. Store in container with wax paper or parchment paper between layers. ENJOY!!
