Red Velvet Chocolate Chip Cookies

Mama Robin

These are great and easy to make - the perfect 4th of July colors too! I sometimes substitute white yogurt chips for the white chocolate, or just add them for a different flavor!

  • 1 box
    red velvet cake mix
  • 2 large
  • 6 Tbsp
  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 1/4 c
    vanilla or white chocolate chips

How to Make Red Velvet Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350.

Mix powdered sugar and cornstarch in a pie pan or shallow dish. (mix with a fork and set aside)
    Melt butter
  2. Blend cake mix, butter, eggs and white chocolate chips in mixing bowl. (I sometimes substitute white yogurt chips or add them with the chocolate chips for a different effect)
  3. Roll dough into 1 1/4" balls and roll in powdered sugar mixture. Set about 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet.
  4. Bake at 350 for about 8-10 minutes depending on your oven. This makes moist & chewy cookies. Bake slightly longer if you like them crunchier.
