These are such a pretty cookie, I wish I could get my camera fixed. They are light and buttery, they didn't stick around too long!

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    unsalted butter
  • 3 oz
    cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 36
    strawberries (depends on how many cookies you make) hulled and halfed

How to Make Red and White cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Beat butter and cream cheese until well blended.
  2. Beat in sugar and vanilla. Stir in flour until well mixed.
  3. Using 1/2 tablespoon measuring spoon, roll dough into a ball and place on greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
  4. Make a small indention on top of each cookie using your thumb.
  5. Carefully place a strawberry on top of each cookie-cut side down.
  6. Bake 12-18 mins. until very light browned. Allow to cool before enjoying!
