These bars are great to snack on and so easy to prepare. I love to make these when the weather is cooler...but they're good anytime!

Ingredients

  • 1 package duncan hines deluxe yellow cake mix
  • 2 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 cup ( 12 oz. jar) seedless raspberry preserves or jam
  • 1 tablespoon water

How To Make raspberry oatmeal bars

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan. Combine dry cake mix and oats in a large bowl. Add melted butter and stir until crumbly. Measure half of crumb mixture (about 3 cups) into pan. Press firmly to cover the bottom.
  • Step 2
Combine preserves and water: stir until blended. Spread over crumb mixture in pan. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over preserves. Pat firmly to make the top even. Bake at 375 degrees for 18-23 minutes, or until top is very light brown. Cool in pan on rack: cut into bars. Store in an airtight container.
