I really wish I could remember where I got this recipe but I've had it for such a very long time. I bake this for the holidays to give as gifts but it is good at any time of the year. It is one of my most requested recipes.

Ingredients
- COOKIE BASE
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 - egg
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- CRUMB TOPPING
- 4 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound melted butter
- FILLING
- 1 jar (small jar) seedless red raspberry jam softened or warmed
How To Make raspberry crumb bars

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Grease 18x12x1 pan (jelly roll).

Step 3Mix sugar, flour, baking powder and salt until well incorporated.

Step 4Add egg, butter milk and vanilla. Mix well.

Step 5Spread evenly in greased pan.

Step 6Spread softened or warmed raspberry jam evenly over base.

Step 7Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt.

Step 8Sprinkle evenly over cookie base and filling.

Step 9Cool before cutting and sprinkle with confectioner's sugar if desired.

Step 10Makes up to 50 small bars or cut to whatever size you wish.
