  • 2 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 3/4 c
  • 3 Tbsp
    lemon juice

  • 3/4 c
  • 1 c
    brown sugar packed
  • 1 3/4 c
    sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c
    rolled oats

How to Make Raisin Mumbles


  1. For the raisin filling mix the raisins, sugar, cornstarch, water and lemon juice.
  2. Cook stirring constantly over low heat until thickened about 5 minutes. Cool.
  3. For the crumb mixture. Mix butter with sugar, add dry ingredients, then mix in the oat. Mix well.
  4. Press half of the crumb mixture into greased 13x 9x 2 pan.
  5. Spread the raisin filling over the pressed on crumb mixture.
  6. Pat on remaining crumb mixture on top of filling.
  7. Bake at 400 degrees 20 to 30 minutes.
  8. Cool and cut into bars.
