Lots of steps but really came out well. Not sure the origination of the recipe.
You can substitute margarine for butter

Ingredients

  • CRUST

  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    oats
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • FILLING

  • 2 can(s)
    15 oz pumpkin
  • 2 can(s)
    evaporated milk
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • TOPPING

  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 can(s)
    chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted

How to Make Pumpkin Pie Squares

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine the crust ingredients until crumbly; press into a greased 9X13 pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. beat filling ingredients in a mixing bowl until smooth; pour over crust. Bake for 45 minutes.
  3. Combine brown sugar, pecans/walnuts and
    butter; sprinkle over top. Bake 15-20 minutes longer or until a knife inserted comes out clean.
  4. Cool. Store in the refrigerator.
