pumpkin doodles
I love my Pumpkin Spice Snickerdoodles that I have on here...but I wanted to incorporate actual pumpkin...so today I did just that. AND I love the way they turned out!!! I hope you do too! :o)

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup butter flav crisco
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup pumpkin (heaping 1/2 cup) canned or cooked
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, if you don't have this, there are a couple recipes for it on this site
- 1/2 cup sugar, for rolling
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice, for rolling
How To Make pumpkin doodles

Step 1Preheat oven to 375. Cream together butter and crisco, then add sugar, egg, vanilla and pumpkin mixing well. In separate bowl whisk together flour, tartar, soda, salt and 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice. Then add to creamed mixture, mixing until it comes together.

Step 2In a small dish mix together 1/2 c sugar and 1T pumpkin pie spice for rolling. Shape dough into 1 1/2" balls, roll in sugar mixture, place on cookie sheet, flatten slightly with bottom of glass. Bake at 375 for 10-13 minutes. Mine came out perfect at 12 min.

Step 3Remove pans from oven allow to cool on pans 2 minutes then remove to racks to cool completely. Enjoy!!!
