I fully intended on baking these as christmas presents for loved ones but never got around to it :(

Ingredients

  • COOKIES
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground all-spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • FROSTING
  • 2 (8oz) packages cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • - zest of 1 lemon

How To Make pumpkin cookies with cream cheese frosting

  • Step 1
    Cookie: Preheat oven to 350 degreed F. Cream sugar and butter together until light and fluffy. Add the maple syrup and eggs then the pumpkin.
  • Step 2
    Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, all-spice, nutmeg, and cloves. Add everything together and mix well. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets and Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Frosting: Beat the cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Mix together. Fold in the lemon zest then spread frosting on the cookies once they are cooled :)
