Ingredients
- 1 cup margarine
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 can 16 oz pumpkin
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 5 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoons nutmeg
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 package 12 oz chocolate chips

Step 1Preheat oven at 350*

Step 2Cream margarine and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, pumpkin and vanilla. Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Add nuts and chocolate chips and mix well. Drop from a rounded teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.

Step 3Note: Raisins may be used in place of chocolate chips. Baked cookies freeze well.
