Since it is Fall and Thanksgiving is around the corner, it seemed to me that something pumpkin was needed in the blondie/cookie department. The maple with the pumpkin and spices just says,"Fall"! :)

  • 2 1/4 c
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 3/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 tsp
    real vanilla
  • 2
  • 1 c
    pumpkin, canned or cooked
  • ·
  • 2 (3oz))
    packages softened cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp
    powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp
    maple flavoring

How to Make Pumpkin Blondies


  1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease 15x10x1 jelly roll pan; set aside. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt--set aside.
  2. Combine brown sugar, 3/4 cup butter, and vanilla with mixer,at medium speed, until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after adding each one. Add pumpkin; mix well.
  3. Reduce mixer speed to low and add flour mixture. Beat until well mixed.
  4. Spread into prepared pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool completely.
  5. Meanwhile, mix cream cheese, 2 T butter, and powdered sugar in small mixer bowl. Beat until smooth. Add enough maple flavoring to obtain desired spreading consistency.
  6. Spread over cooled blondies. Cut into bars. Yummy!!
