Since it is Fall and Thanksgiving is around the corner, it seemed to me that something pumpkin was needed in the blondie/cookie department. The maple with the pumpkin and spices just says,"Fall"! :)

2 1/4 c
2 1/2 tsp
baking powder
2 tsp
ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp
1 1/2 c
brown sugar
3/4 c
butter, softened
1 tsp
real vanilla
1 c
pumpkin, canned or cooked
2 (3oz))
packages softened cream cheese
2 Tbsp
powdered sugar
2 tsp
maple flavoring

How to Make Pumpkin Blondies


  • 1Preheat oven to 350. Grease 15x10x1 jelly roll pan; set aside. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt--set aside.
  • 2Combine brown sugar, 3/4 cup butter, and vanilla with mixer,at medium speed, until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after adding each one. Add pumpkin; mix well.
  • 3Reduce mixer speed to low and add flour mixture. Beat until well mixed.
  • 4Spread into prepared pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool completely.
  • 5Meanwhile, mix cream cheese, 2 T butter, and powdered sugar in small mixer bowl. Beat until smooth. Add enough maple flavoring to obtain desired spreading consistency.
  • 6Spread over cooled blondies. Cut into bars. Yummy!!
