My sister-in-law gave me this recipe quite a while ago.She has made these quite a lot and always sends us some.I think thy are awesome!!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3 - eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make portuguese bisquits

  • Step 1
    Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.Add eggs one at a time.Beat well.
  • Step 2
    Add dry ingredients 2 Tbsp.at a time until all is used.Dough will be stiff.
  • Step 3
    Make walnut size balls and roll into a rope 6 in. long.
  • Step 4
    Make a ring,pinch ends together or make into S shape.
  • Step 5
    Place on lightly greased baking sheet.Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes until golden in color.makes 2-3 dozen.(check after 10 min.)
