How to Make Pizzelles
- Beat egg. melt butter but don't add to eggs yet. Let it cool first. Add sugar gradually, beat till smooth. Add cooled butter Anise flavoring.
- Sift flour, baking powder. Add egg mixture, dough will be sticky. Pizzelle iron must be hot enough or it will definitely stick. I use 1 rounded tbsp. of mixture in center of each design on iron. I usually take them off after about1 minute. Be careful and watch them because they will brown fast.
Yield: 6 or 7 dozen
