Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon clove, ground
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup persimmon pulp
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 - egg
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
How To Make persimmon cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease cookie sheet well. Dissolve baking soda in persimmon pulp and set aside. Sift together flour, spices, and salt set aside. Cream together sugar and shortening until fluffy, add in egg and mix together. Stir in flour mixture and pulp into cream mixture. Stir in nuts and raisins.

Step 2Drop by teaspoons onto a well greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degree F. for 10-12 minutes.
