Ingredients

  • 1 c
    ripe persimmon pulp sprinkled with
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 c
    margarine or shortening or half of each
  • 2
    beaten eggs
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1 c
    raisins
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    choppped dates
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    cloves
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg

How to Make Persimmon Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream sugar and shortening; add persimmon pulp. Beat well; add beaten eggs. Add flour and spices, nuts, raisins and dates.
  2. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake at 375 degrees 12 to 15 minutes.
