I've tried at least 50 p. butter cookie recipes.. this is the one I always pull out for the parties.

Ingredients

1/2 cup veg. shortening
1 cup peanut butter, creamy
1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
3 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1 - egg
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda

How To Make perfect peanut butter cookies

Step 1

blend all wet ing. together

Step 2

blend all dry ing. together
Step 3

mix wet n' dry ing. together
Step 4

roll batter into sm.- med. balls
Step 5

use a floured fork to semi flatten (make a criss-cross pattern)
Step 6

each cookie should be appx. 2inches apart on cookie sheet (Do Not grease cookie sheet)
Step 7

bake @ 350 for appx. 5-8 minutes per sheet
