I love these buttery cookies and love peppermint so I combined them both. My dad loves these cookies - he almost couldn't stop eating them.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 - egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

How To Make peppermint spritz cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a medium bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Step 3
    Add the egg, milk, and extracts.
  • Step 4
    Add the flour mixture; mix well.
  • Step 5
    Fill a cookie press with the dough and fit it with disks.
  • Step 6
    Press cookies onto a ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Step 7
    Bake 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

    Cool 2 minutes on the cookie sheet, remove to a cooling rack, and cool completely.
