Ingredients
- 3 oz - cream cheese
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups flour
- 2 - whole eggs, well beaten
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 or 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups finely chopped pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
How To Make pecan tartlets

Step 1To make shells, beat cheese and butter together until creamy. Cut in flour as for pastry. Form mixture into 48 1-inch balls, making them all the same size. Place 1 ball into each section of miniature muffin tins. Press the balls of dough evenly with your fingers to complete cover the bottom and sides of each cup in the tin.

Step 2Combine all filling ingredients together thoroughly. Spoon filling into shells leaving a little head room to allow for expansion as they bake. Bake at 350F for about 25 minutes. Cool in pans for 5 minutes. Remove carefully; a sharp knife is beneficial here.
