Yet another great recipe from a cookbook. These are very good!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 3 cups self-rising flour

How To Make bea's pecan sandies

  • Step 1
    Mix together the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add in the nuts and then work in the flour.
  • Step 2
    Shape into rolls and wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for several hours.
  • Step 3
    Unwrap and cut into thin slices and place onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for approximately 10 minutes.
  • Step 4
    HINT: I always line my cookie sheets with aluminum foil then spray the foil. I find this as easy clean-up.
