pecan pie bars

If you Love pecan pie, you'll like these. I found this in a cookbook that was put together by someone I went to High School with. I tweeked the cooking time a little. But all in all they turned out really good.

Ingredients

  • CRUST
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine (melted)
  • FILLING
  • 1/2 cup syrup (your favorite)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons margarine (melted)
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

How To Make pecan pie bars

  • Step 1
    CRUST: Butter (I used bakers joy)a 9x13 baking dish. Combine the ingredients for crust and press into baking dish.
  • Step 2
    FILLING: Combine all ingredients for the filling and pour on top of the unbaked crust. cover with aluminum foil & bake 30-35 min at 375 degrees. (I took the foil off for the last 5 minutes or so.) Let cool completely for the filling to set.
