Ingredients For pecan nougats

  • 1 c
    softened butter
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    finely ground/chopped nuts/pecans
  • confectioner's sugar (powdered sugar)

How To Make pecan nougats

  • 1
    Cream butter, sugar, and salt until fluffy.
  • 2
    Add flour and vanilla, Mix well scraping down sides as needed.
  • 3
    Add nuts and mix well unless incorporated. Shape into one inch balls.

    Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes, but dont let them brown.

    When cool, roll in confectioner's sugar. YUMMY enjoy.
