Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 - eggs
- 2.5 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
How To Make pecan crispies

Step 1Cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.

Step 2Add eggs, beating well.

Step 3Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture, beating well.

Step 4Stir in pecans and drop dough by level tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheets.

Step 5Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.

Step 6Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks--makes 5 dozen.
