- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2/3 cup pecans, coarsely ground
How To Make pecan cookies

Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl until well blended.

Step 3Beat in egg and vanilla until mixed.

Step 4Using a wooden spoon, stir in flour, baking powder and baking soda until mixed.

Step 5Stir in pecans.

Step 6Drop by spoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.

Step 7Bake until golden and firm on the top, about 10 minutes and cool on wire rack.
