Ingredients

  • 2 cups a. p. flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 10 tablespoons (1 1/4 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups light brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans

How To Make pecan blondies with chocolate chips

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with butter or parchment paper.
  • Step 2
    Mix flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda in a medium bowl. Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat and then remove from heat. Add the sugar and whisk until sugar melts and mixture is well blended.
  • Step 3
    Whisk in eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually add flour mixture (batter will be thick). Spread batter in prepared pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans. Bake approximately 25 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
  • Step 4
    Cool blondies in the pan on a rack. Cut into squares and serve.
