peanut chews, mom's & grandma w's
Mom and Grandma used to be whizzes at making pie crust. I, however, am nowhere near their caliber. So I use Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust instead of making my own, and it seems to be pretty good! Of course, it isn't theirs, but then nothing will ever be equal to those two wonderful cooks. I miss them both terribly, and think of them every time I make one of their recipes.

- 1 - pie crust mix (or a refrigerated crust will do)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup peanuts, chopped
- 1 - egg, slightly beaten
How To Make peanut chews, mom's & grandma w's

Step 1Prepare pie crust per package directions and blend brown sugar and vanilla. Add egg and half the peanuts. Spread on well greased and floured cookie sheets to 13x10 inch rectangles. Top with remaining peanuts. Bake at 350 degrees 15--17 minutes. Loosen edges as soon as you remove it from the oven. Cool on sheet then cut into pieces.
