peanut butter sugar cookies
This is a mash-up of several peanut butter cookie recipes (following several tasty experiments) with the spices and the sugar coating added as a twist.

Makes approximately 4 dozen cookies.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter (mostly melted)
- 1 cup creamy 100% peanut butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 - egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- - granulated white sugar for rolling
How To Make peanut butter sugar cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2Cream butter, peanut butter and sugars together in a large bowl.

Step 3Beat in eggs, egg yolks, honey and vanilla.

Step 4In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Step 5Gradually add the dry mixture to butter/sugar/egg mixture and mix on low speed.

Step 6Roll cookie dough into 1 inch balls and roll balls in granulated sugar.

Step 7Place balls on cookie sheets lined with parchment paper, and flatten each ball with a fork, making a crisscross pattern.

Step 8Bake in preheated oven for about 9 minutes. Cookies should be golden.
