This is a mash-up of several peanut butter cookie recipes (following several tasty experiments) with the spices and the sugar coating added as a twist.

butter (mostly melted)
1 c
creamy 100% peanut butter
1 c
white sugar
1 c
firmly packed brown sugar
egg yolks
1 tsp
1 Tbsp
2 1/2 c
1 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
1 1/2 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
granulated white sugar for rolling

How to Make Peanut Butter Sugar Cookies


  • 1Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2Cream butter, peanut butter and sugars together in a large bowl.
  • 3Beat in eggs, egg yolks, honey and vanilla.
  • 4In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • 5Gradually add the dry mixture to butter/sugar/egg mixture and mix on low speed.
  • 6Roll cookie dough into 1 inch balls and roll balls in granulated sugar.
  • 7Place balls on cookie sheets lined with parchment paper, and flatten each ball with a fork, making a crisscross pattern.
  • 8Bake in preheated oven for about 9 minutes. Cookies should be golden.
