Recipe from Grandma Robinson, she typed on a postcard when she lived in Monee, Illinois. Robin texted it to me 10-18-20. This sounds amazing, with peanut butter and oatmeal in one cookie!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soft shortening
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup quaker oats (quick or old fashioned

How To Make peanut butter roundup cookies, grandma robinson

  • Step 1
    Beat shortening and sugars together until creamy. Add eggs and peanut butter, beat well. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats. Shape dough to form 1" balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Press with tines of fork to make criss crosses on each cookie. Bake at 350 degrees 8-10 min.
