This cookie was birthed as a result of a friend who likes, peanut butter cookies, oatmeal cookies and chocolate chip cookies. I laughed that they liked the 3 most popular cookies they needed them all in one. So thus this cookie was born. I took the recipes for all three and combined parts of each to come up with this recipe. Everyone seems to prefer it made with milk chocolate chips. However you can use semi sweet chocolate chips. I have also made them with Hershey's Delightfulls too.

  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

  • 1 cup oatmeal, uncooked
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips (12 oz bag)

How To Make peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

  • Step 1
Pre-heat oven to 350, line cookie sheets with bakers parchment paper.
  • Step 2
In mixing bowl combine butter, shortening, and sugars and beat together. Add eggs one at a time and beat mixture till light and fluffy. Add peanut butter and mix for another 2 minutes. Do not under mix.
  • Step 3
Add baking soda and mix well, than mix in sifted flour. Now stir in oatmeal, than stir in chocolate chips. You can use semi sweet chips if you like, I just have found people prefer milk chocolate chips since there are so many flavors in this cookie.
  • Step 4
Drop one inch balls of dough 2 to 3 inches apart on parchment lined cookie sheets and bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes, till golden brown. Cool and get a big glass of milk and sit back and enjoy!
