Yes, they're basic...but yum, are they good. I found that using dark chocolate kisses makes them a bit more elegant. And isn't dark chocolate supposed to be good for you?

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 c
    peanut butter, creamy
  • 1
    egg
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 pkg
    dark chocolate kisses

How to Make Peanut Butter Kisses

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix first five ingredients.
  3. Cream next five (wet) ingredients with mixer. Add in dry ingredients from step one. Mix until just blended in.
  4. Roll into balls, then roll balls in sugar (can use powdered sugar instead).
  5. Bake on cookie sheet for about 10 minutes.
  6. Top with chocolate kiss upon removal from oven. Remove to a rack when cookie firms up.
