We had something similar as treats at a garden club meeting. You can use any kind of dried fruit as long as you make them uniform size. Store in refrigerator if made during summer or in a hot climate! (Cook time is Chill time)

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces dried mixed fruit
  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup crisp rice cereal (rice krispies®)
  • 1 cup toasted oat cereal (cheerios®)
  • 3/4 cup salted cocktail peanuts

How To Make peanut butter fruit clusters

  • Step 1
Line 2 baking sheets with parchment or waxed paper. In a food processor, pulse fruit until uniform size.
  • Step 2
In large bowl, microwave chocolate chips and peanut butter at 50% power. Stop and stir every 30 seconds until all is melted and can be stirred together.
  • Step 3
Add fruit, cereals and peanuts. Stir to mix together.
  • Step 4
Using medium cookie scoop - about 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons - scoop mixture onto prepared tins. Let sit until set. Can be stored in a closed container with extra parchment or waxed paper between layers.
  • Step 5
Alternate method - put scoopfuls into paper-lined muffin tins. Try mini-muffin tins to make small candies.
