  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 1/4 c
  • ·
    extra sugar to sprinkle on top

How to Make Peanut Butter Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  2. With electric mixer beat butter and peanut butter on high 30 seconds. Add sugars, baking soda and baking powder. Beat until combined. Beat in egg and vanilla. Beat in flour. Chill dough if dough is too soft (30-60 minutes).
  3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart. Use a cooke press or tines of a fork to flatten. Sprinkle with additional sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
