peanut butter cookies
Original recipe is from Jif. The best peanut butter makes the best cookies. I swapped the milk for eggnog and I swear these are the best peanut butter cookies I've ever had. They're thin, crispy and chewy!! All the best!! The family agrees!!!

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup - jif creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 stick - crisco baking stick (1/2 cup crisco shortening)
- 1 1/4 cups - firmly packed brown sugar
- 3 tbsp - eggnog or milk
- 1 tbsp - vanilla extract
- 1 large - egg
- 1 3/4 cups - gold medal all purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp - baking soda
- 3/4 tsp - salt
How To Make peanut butter cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine peanut butter, crisco, brown sugar, eggnog and vanilla in large bowl. Beat on medium speed till well blended. Add egg and beat till just blended. Do not overmix.

Step 2In separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda & salt. Add to peanut butter mixture till just blended on low speed. Uaing a 1 tablespoon scoop place cookies about 2" apart on baking sheet. Flatten slightly with fork tines in crisscross pattern.

Step 3Bake for 8 minutes. Cool a couple minutes on pan before moving to racks to cool completely.

Step 4Enjoy as is or sandwich with a chocolate ganache filling. Oh sooooo good!!!!
