Every Christmas i would do a lot of baking, Brandi told me one year she would like to start helping me bake. So these cookies were easy to start her off she did so well, I gave her that recipe and said it's all yours and she has been making them every since.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla

How to Make Peanut Butter Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Stir together flour, soda, and salt.
  2. In a mixer bowl beat butter for 30 seconds. Add peanut butter and sugars; beat til fluffy.Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
  3. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture; beat til well combined.
  4. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in granulated sugar, if desired.Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet; crisscross with the tines of a fork.
  5. Bake in a 375 degrees oven about 10 minutes.Cool about 1 minute before removing to a wire rack.
